Medium: Wire Sculpture

This piece is inspired by my 14-year journey as a dancer. I chose to use wires because they allowed me to better depict body lines and the flow of the dance.  Flowers, ribbons and stage lights – the front side of this piece depicts how gorgeously ballerinas perform on stage while the back side with falling leaves creates a dismal mood, taking viewers behind the scenes and unveils the great but often unseen struggles, such as injury, sadness and stumbles, that dancers have to go through.
