RECIPE FOR THE LAST MEAL

My intent in this piece is to address our indifference to the underlying consequences of our actions that harm animals, and eventually ourselves. I have taken inspiration from Haya Miyazaki, Ronald Ong and Quentin Blake. The meal symbolizes our desire. I have changed animal parts into ingredients and dinnerware to create a meal, implyng that to acquire these ingredients is killing animals, and if you stay unaware, you are making yourself your last meal (extinction). I have adopted a loose drawing style and darkened the background to create a sense of dark humour that amplifies this unawareness and impending danger.
