This photo series consists of three close-up photos of several percussion instruments: güiro, cymbal, and cabasa. These photos were taken and processed within a class period as a photo challenge. I have noticed that a lot of people tend to think percussion instruments look like toys, and mastering them does not require much effort. I used to play guitar in the rhythm section, sitting right beside the percussion players in our band. I know the importance of their roles and the tremendous effort they put in. These detailed photos I have taken are intended to encourage viewers to closely examine the beauty of percussion instruments and to pay more respect to those talented percussion players.
